Abstract:
SJRWMD identified priority water resource caution areas (PWRCA) based on a comparison of water resource constraints to the results of assessments of hydrologic impacts due to projected 2025 demands. Priority water resource caution areas are areas where existing and reasonably anticipated sources of water and conservation efforts may not be adequate (1) to supply water for all existing legal uses and reasonably anticipated future needs and (2) to sustain the water resources and related natural systems. SJRWMD identified priority water resource caution areas based on the water resource constraints and the results of water use, groundwater, and surface water assessments. The PWRCA comprises approximately 39% of the District.
Purpose:
By comparing water resource constraints to the results of assessments of hydrologic impacts due to projected 2025 demands spatially map the area(s) within which anticipated sources of water and conservation efforts are determined to be not adequate to supply water for all reasonably existing legal and anticipated future needs. 1.) The contributing areas of harm (vegharm_area, lakeharm_area, mflkharm_area, mflspring_area, springharm_area, and waterqualharm_area) were merged together to delineate the PWRCA boundary. 2.) This a dynamic data set in that it is revised anytime there are politcal/data or both reasons that warrant a revision. In this case Titusville pwrca was added per H.Wilkening request
