Abstract:
This data set consists of 83 PLSS sections of digital DTM mapping covering the Middle St. Johns River Basin and vicinity, and 2 PLSS sections of digital DTM mapping covering the Upper St. Johns River Basin and vicinity.
Purpose:
This data set depicts information about geographic features within the project area and is to be used for purposes defined by the St. Johns River Water Management District.

Ground control surveys were conducted under the supervision of a licensed Florida surveyor and mapper and a registered land surveyor licensed in the State of Florida and in accordance with Florida State Statutes. Horizontal positions were referenced to UTM, Zone 17, HPGN Datum. GPS survey was used to generate the horizontal position of the surveyed points located throughout the project area. Actual survey positions were either painted aerial targets or photo identifiable locations selected by the photogrammetrist. Positional accuracy met standard third order survey requirements. Analytical triangulation was used to further densify the horizontal control necessary for data collection. Final residuals from the triangulation process met the criteria necessary for 1" = 200' mapping. Final mapped data is referenced to NAD83 datum with the 1990 high precision adjustment, units are METERS. Positional accuracy for 1" = 200' scale photogrammetric mapping complies with National Map Accuracy Standards. (See value below.)
