Abstract:
Created in April 1999, the County Boundary data layer is a digital cartographic representation of Florida's peninsula counties, containing 53 of the 67 counties in the State of Florida. A data layer containing Florida peninsula county boundaries with more detailed shorelines, and a data layer covering county boundaries for the entire State of Florida exist as separate data layers. Counties NOT shown in this dataset are: Bay Gulf Liberty Wakulla Calhoun Holmes Okaloosa Walton Escambia Jackson Santa Rosa Washington Franklin Leon
Purpose:
These data are intended for geographic display of the state of Florida. The data should be displayed and analyzed at scales appropriate for 1:24,000 scale data.
Supplemental_Information:
This data layer is a very simple version with no interior hydrography; a more detailed version with shoreline and limited hydrography exists as a separate data layer.
