<SPAN CLASS="lt"><PRE ID="original">Management area boundaries were created from the merger of the individual acquisition parcels making up an area.   The parcels were created by COGO of legal descriptions from deeds and surveys provided at closing for each parcel.  In some cases manual adjustments were made to fit adjacent parcels with one another.  Particularly in situations where a parcel adjoined one with COGO metes and bound description from a survey.  The feature class field attributes provides QA information for each parcel.  Additional information on a specific parcel can be found with the parcel feature class.</PRE></SPAN><BR />

<I>Process description: </I>PhaseIII: Woolpert contract
Mapped 986 deeds boundaries.  The easements were digitized from deed property descriptions and associated with a database that contains information obtained from the property deeds. The data format is in an ArcInfo coverage.

Each easement was reviewed to locate the property description and positional location of the easement boundaries. Once identified the properties were precision input using CAD software with the metes and bounds measurements obtained from the deed descriptions. The polygons were checked for any closure error. Once the polygons were final, they were moved and rotated into the correct geographic cooridnate space using the USGS digital ortho quarter quads and the PLSS datasets. Further positional adjusts to the easement boundaries were made using lines of occupation and other visual indicators provided by the USGS digitial orthophotography. Aliquot easements were constructed from plss and orthophotography. Attribute information was obtained from the easement description was added to the database. The dataset was then converted to an ArcInfo coverage format. The data was reviewed for geographic placement, cleaned and edited to provide correct topological structures.<BR />
