NOTES: This data layer was produced from false-color infra-red positive transparency film in a 9-inch format, exposed on February 27, 1989. Seagrass cover was separated into four density classes. Ground-truthing was conducted between May and August 1989 by the Brevard Office of Natural Resource Management using divers towed along transects. Photo-interpretation was also conducted by the Brevard Office of Natural Resource Management. Landmark Technologies, Inc. of Jacksonville performed the digitization. This seagrass data reflects conditions existing on the date of photography and is subject to all limitations normally associated with the creation of maps from interpreted aerial photographs.

August, 1996: This dataset was projected from Stateplane, East Zone, NAD 1927 to UTM, Zone 17, NAD 1983, 1990 Correction. This dataset was copied to double precision.
